GrandKitty Fun!

 Beaker prefers laundry to pillows it seems! He doesn't seem to have a preference for dirty or clean.

Sam is a big fan of ice cream, and, yes, he's a plain vanilla man!

I hope the world where you are looks as beautiful as it does here! Have you ever noticed how many colors of green there are in Spring? They all sort of change into one hue later in the year, but for now the palette is endless!!

Rocky - The Man!

I don't want to say that he posed for this photo, but Rocky knows when he looks good!! I've decided that he's grown into a much more elegant kitty than the tumbly kitten we named "Rocky" so from now on, he'll be known as Rocky Pierre!

Pretty Petticoats

Tomorrow is preview day for the upcoming online show with Teddies Worldwide! While I can't show that picture 'till tomorrow, or the other pretty little girly bears I'm making until the actual show, I thought I would photograph some of the doings around their outfits!

I found these neat handkerchiefs with edging designed for embellishment. It occurred to me that half the handkerchief would make a dandy petticoat for a little bear. I began with single crochet all around.

The next round was made with three chains and a slip stitch into every single crochet all around.

And finally, the fluffy round! Six double crochets in every other chain 3 space, with slip stitches in every other chain 3 space.
When the crocheting is done, I gather the uncrocheted top edge and fit it to the waist of the little bear!

My dear friend Sarah found this poem in a magazine and sent it along to me. The only notation of authorship is "D. A. W." So thanks, D.A.W., for a lovely March chuckle!!

Just have to add some kitty fun! Ours all live indoors and their feet never touch dirt, so they wouldn't be the culprits!

Max is a "sink sitter.!" Kim tells me there's a website called Cats in Sinks - but I haven't checked that.

I just love to get these kinds of photos in a text message or email! The new phones let you turn the camera around for self portraits!
